Description

Looking for a quick dinner idea that’s full of flavor and uses simple pantry ingredients? These Asian Korean Beef Bowls deliver on taste and ease. Ground beef is simmered in a soy-garlic-ginger sauce and served over fluffy rice for an easy recipe you can whip up on a busy weeknight. Great for meal prep, healthy snack bowls, or as part of your favorite dinner ideas—this is a crowd-pleasing go-to dish!

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/3 cup soy sauce

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons sesame oil

3 cloves garlic, grated

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

3 cups cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati)

1/4 cup green onions, sliced

1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger until sugar is dissolved. Set aside.

2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.

3. Pour the sauce over the cooked beef. Stir well to combine and reduce heat to medium. Let it simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

4. Scoop cooked rice into bowls. Top with the saucy beef mixture.

5. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

For the best flavor, use freshly grated ginger and garlic rather than pre-minced.

This recipe is highly customizable—swap rice for noodles or lettuce cups.

Want a bolder kick? Add gochujang or a dash of sriracha to the sauce mixture.
