Description

Fresh, fast, and flavor-packed, these Asian Turkey Lettuce Wraps are the perfect light meal. Juicy ground turkey is seasoned with soy, hoisin, and aromatic ginger, then loaded into crisp lettuce cups with colorful veggies. Great for busy weeknights or entertaining, they bring satisfying taste in every bite with a healthy twist.


Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sesame oil

1/2 cup chopped water chestnuts

1/2 cup shredded carrots

1/4 cup sliced green onions

1 head butter lettuce or romaine leaves, separated

Optional: sesame seeds, chopped peanuts, fresh cilantro, sriracha


Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger; sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add ground turkey and cook until browned and cooked through, 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Let simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Add water chestnuts, shredded carrots, and green onions. Stir and cook another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Spoon the mixture into clean lettuce leaves.
  6. Top with sesame seeds, peanuts, cilantro, or sriracha as desired.
  7. Serve immediately.
