Description

This Big Mac Smash Burger Taco recipe combines the classic flavors of a Big Mac with the crispy satisfaction of a taco. Featuring seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar, shredded lettuce, pickles, and tangy Big Mac sauce smashed into a golden tortilla, this easy and fun dinner idea is perfect for quick meals, game nights, or entertaining. A viral taco trend worth every bite!

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

6 soft flour tortillas

6 slices cheddar cheese or 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar

1 cup shredded lettuce

½ cup dill pickle slices

¼ cup diced white onion

½ cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

1 teaspoon white vinegar

salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, mustard, and vinegar to create the Big Mac sauce. Stir until smooth and set aside.

2. Roll ground beef into six loose 2-ounce balls. Don’t overwork the meat.

3. Heat a cast iron or nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.

4. Place a tortilla onto the skillet and top with one beef ball.

5. Smash the beef flat using a burger press or spatula. Sear for 2–3 minutes until the beef crisps.

6. Flip the taco and cook for 1 additional minute.

7. Immediately add a slice or sprinkle of cheddar on top. Cover the skillet briefly to melt the cheese.

8. Remove the taco from the skillet and top with shredded lettuce, pickles, onion, and a generous drizzle of Big Mac sauce.

9. Serve hot with extra sauce on the side. Enjoy!

Notes

Don’t skip preheating your skillet — that high heat is key for a crispy beef crust.

Keep the toppings cool and crisp by assembling tacos just before serving.

Use a lid briefly when melting cheese to get that oozy, diner-style melt.
