Ingredients
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 egg (for egg wash)
Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly and place on baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mix down the center third of the pastry.
- Top evenly with blueberries and gently press them into the filling.
- Cut diagonal strips on the outer thirds of the pastry and fold over the filling in a braid pattern.
- Beat the egg and brush over the pastry.
- Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden and puffed.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
