Description

This Blueberry Cream Cheese Puff Pastry is a flaky, golden treat filled with a tangy cream cheese layer and juicy blueberries. It’s the perfect dessert for brunches, holidays, or a simple sweet craving—easy to prepare and elegant enough to impress.


Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

4 oz cream cheese, softened

2 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup fresh blueberries

1 egg (for egg wash)

Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry slightly and place on baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mix down the center third of the pastry.
  5. Top evenly with blueberries and gently press them into the filling.
  6. Cut diagonal strips on the outer thirds of the pastry and fold over the filling in a braid pattern.
  7. Beat the egg and brush over the pastry.
  8. Bake 20–25 minutes, until golden and puffed.
  9. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
