Ingredients
12 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)
1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Pat shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Set aside.
2. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
3. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
4. Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes per side or until pink and opaque.
5. Sprinkle parsley and lemon juice if using. Toss well to coat shrimp in garlic butter.
6. Remove from heat and serve immediately with sauce from the pan.
Notes
Make sure shrimp are completely dry before cooking to ensure a good sear.
Fresh garlic adds the best flavor, but you can use garlic powder in a pinch.
Don’t overcook the shrimp—remove them from heat as soon as they turn pink.
