Description

This Butterscotch Drops recipe is a no-bake dessert made with popcorn, melted butterscotch chips, marshmallows, and butter. Perfect for holidays, gifting, or sweet snacking! Easy to prepare and irresistibly crunchy, creamy, and sweet. Great for party treats and kid-friendly fun.


Ingredients

1 cup butterscotch chips

2 cups mini marshmallows

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cups popped popcorn

1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. In a large nonstick pot, melt the butterscotch chips and butter over low heat, stirring continuously.

2. Add mini marshmallows and stir until the mixture is fully melted and smooth.

3. Remove the pot from heat and fold in the popped popcorn until well coated.

4. Using a cookie scoop or greased tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto parchment-lined baking sheets.

5. Let them cool at room temperature for 30 minutes or refrigerate for 10–15 minutes until set.

6. Store in an airtight container or serve immediately on a festive platter.

Notes

Lightly salt the popcorn before mixing for a sweet-salty contrast.

Don’t overheat the butterscotch chips—they can scorch easily.
