Description

This Cajun Garlic Butter Steak with Cheesy Alfredo Tortellini recipe blends spicy seared steak with creamy, cheesy tortellini for a decadent one-pan meal. It’s the perfect comfort food recipe for steak and pasta lovers, with bold Cajun flavor and rich Alfredo sauce.

Ingredients

2 ribeye or sirloin steaks

10 oz cheese tortellini

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

4 tbsp butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Season both sides of the steaks with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side. Remove and let rest.

3. In a separate saucepan, melt butter. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.

4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth.

5. Boil tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and add to Alfredo sauce.

6. Slice the rested steak. In the same skillet, melt more butter with garlic and spoon over steak.

7. Plate tortellini and top with steak. Garnish with parsley and Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Let the steak rest before slicing to retain its juices.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results in the sauce.

Add a splash of reserved pasta water if the Alfredo sauce gets too thick.
