Description

This Cajun Honey Butter Salmon recipe is a quick and flavorful dinner idea featuring perfectly seared salmon fillets glazed in a rich, sweet, and spicy Cajun honey butter sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s a delicious weeknight meal that brings restaurant-quality flavor to your kitchen. Ideal for seafood lovers and fans of bold Southern-inspired dishes, this easy salmon recipe pairs perfectly with rice, veggies, or potatoes.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (skin-on, about 6 oz each)

2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning

2 tablespoons honey

3 tablespoons butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with Cajun seasoning. Press seasoning into the fish for maximum flavor.

2. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Place salmon skin-side down and sear for 3-4 minutes until crispy. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove salmon and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter, minced garlic, honey, and lemon juice. Stir until butter is melted and mixture is smooth.

4. Return salmon to the skillet and spoon the honey butter sauce over the fillets. Let simmer for 1 minute to coat and caramelize.

5. Plate the salmon and drizzle remaining sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices if desired.

Notes

Let the salmon rest at room temperature for 15 minutes before cooking to ensure even searing.

Use a fish spatula to gently flip the fillets without breaking them.

For a milder flavor, reduce Cajun seasoning to 1 tablespoon.
