Description

Charcuterie Tree Skewers Party is the kind of easy appetizer that instantly makes a holiday table feel more fun, festive, and inviting. These quick party skewers combine cheese, salami, pepperoni, and olives into cute edible trees that work beautifully for Christmas parties, holiday snack boards, easy entertaining, finger food platters, and simple food ideas for a crowd.

Ingredients

24 wooden appetizer skewers

8 ounces cheddar cheese, cubed

8 ounces pepper jack or herb cheese, cubed

24 slices salami, folded

24 slices pepperoni, folded

24 large green olives

6 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

Fresh rosemary sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

1. Cut the cheddar and pepper jack or herb cheese into even bite-size cubes so the skewers stack neatly.

2. Use a small star cookie cutter to cut star shapes from the provolone or mozzarella slices.

3. Fold the salami and pepperoni slices into loose layers so they look full and decorative on the skewers.

4. Thread one cube of cheese onto each skewer to create a sturdy base.

5. Add folded salami, one or two olives, another cube of cheese, and folded pepperoni, alternating the layers to create a tree-like shape.

6. Finish each skewer with one olive near the top and press a cheese star onto the tip.

7. Arrange the finished skewers on a serving platter and tuck fresh rosemary around them for a festive presentation.

8. Chill until ready to serve, or serve immediately for the best fresh texture.

Notes

Use firm cheese for the stars so they hold their shape and do not tear when assembled.

Keep the layers balanced on each skewer so the appetizer stands nicely on the platter.

Assemble these a few hours ahead and refrigerate covered for an easy make-ahead party snack.
