Ingredients
12 oz rotini pasta
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp butter
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp Italian seasoning
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rotini and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking into crumbles. Drain excess fat.
3. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
4. Add cooked rotini to the skillet. Toss gently to coat the pasta in the garlic butter beef mixture.
5. Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese on top. Cover and cook on low for 3–4 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
6. Remove from heat. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
Don’t overcook the pasta—al dente helps it hold texture after mixing with sauce.
Freshly shredded cheese melts smoother than pre-shredded varieties.
If you like a saucier finish, add a splash of heavy cream or pasta water before adding cheese.
