Description

Ingredients

1 cup cherry pie filling

1 pre-baked 9-inch pie crust

1 cup heavy whipping cream (for mousse)

6 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup heavy whipping cream (for topping)

2 tbsp powdered sugar (for topping)

8 maraschino cherries

1/4 cup chocolate curls or shavings


Instructions

1. Bake your 9-inch pie crust and let it cool completely.

2. Spread cherry pie filling evenly into the crust and chill.

3. Melt semi-sweet chocolate and let it cool slightly.

4. In a bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

5. Add melted chocolate, powdered sugar, and vanilla to the cream cheese and mix until smooth.

6. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

7. Gently fold whipped cream into the chocolate mixture using a spatula.

8. Spread chocolate mousse over the cherry layer and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

9. Whip additional heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form.

10. Spread whipped cream over the mousse layer.

11. Decorate with maraschino cherries and chocolate curls.

12. Chill for one more hour before serving.
