Ingredients
2 pounds French fries
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
3 stalks green onions, chopped
1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
4 ounces cream cheese
¾ cup milk
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
1. Cook the fries according to package instructions or air fry until golden and crispy. Lightly salt them while still hot.
2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add cream cheese and whisk until melted and smooth.
3. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly, until the mixture is well combined.
4. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
5. Season the cheese sauce with Cajun seasoning and reduce heat to low.
6. Cook the bacon in a skillet until crispy. Let it drain on a paper towel, then crumble.
7. Assemble the dish by layering hot fries on a serving platter or skillet.
8. Pour the warm cheese sauce over the fries.
9. Top with crumbled bacon and chopped green onions.
10. Serve immediately while hot and melty.
Notes
Use thick-cut or crinkle-cut fries to hold the toppings better.
If your cheese sauce is too thick, add more milk a tablespoon at a time.
Serve directly in a cast iron skillet to retain heat and wow your guests.
