This easy chicken recipe is low-carb, keto-friendly, and perfect for meal prep or family dinners. Serve it with pasta, mashed potatoes, or roasted veggies for a comforting meal packed with flavor.
Ingredients
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup chicken broth
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
5 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped parsley or chives (optional)
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden. Remove and set aside.
3. Reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping up brown bits.
5. Stir in cream cheese and melt into a smooth sauce.
6. Add crumbled cooked bacon and stir to combine.
7. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Cover and simmer on low for 8–10 minutes until fully cooked through.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives and serve warm.
Notes
Let the sauce simmer slowly so it thickens without curdling the cream cheese.
Use a meat thermometer to check chicken doneness (165°F internal temp).
Add a splash of broth or cream when reheating to restore sauce texture.
