Description

This Creamy Cajun Chicken Tortellini in Velveeta Garlic Cheese Sauce recipe blends bold Cajun flavors with cheesy comfort. Featuring juicy seasoned chicken, rich Velveeta garlic sauce, and cheese tortellini, it’s the perfect one-skillet dinner idea for families. Quick, easy, and full of Southern flair—ideal for cozy weeknights or crowd-pleasing weekends.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts

9 oz cheese tortellini

1 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup heavy cream

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Season the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning.

2. In a cast iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear chicken for 5–6 minutes on each side until cooked through. Remove and let rest.

3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook tortellini according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

5. Pour in heavy cream, bring to a light simmer, and add Velveeta cubes. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

6. Fold in the cooked tortellini, stirring to coat evenly in the sauce.

7. Slice the rested chicken and place over the creamy tortellini.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley and black pepper. Serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overcook the tortellini—al dente texture holds up better in creamy sauce.

Let the chicken rest before slicing to keep juices sealed in.

If reheating leftovers, add a splash of milk or cream to revive the sauce.
