Description

This creamy Cajun sausage pasta brings together the smoky flavor of seared sausage, the comforting texture of tender pasta, and the richness of a spiced cream sauce. Quick to prepare and bursting with bold taste, it’s a perfect one-pan dinner for any day of the week.


Ingredients

Smoked sausage

Fettuccine or penne pasta

Heavy cream

Garlic

Parmesan cheese

Cajun seasoning

Olive oil

Fresh parsley

Salt and black pepper


Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Sear sliced sausage until browned and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic. Stir in Cajun seasoning.
  3. Add heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook pasta until al dente. Reserve some pasta water before draining.
  5. Combine pasta, sausage, and sauce in the skillet. Mix until well-coated. Add pasta water if needed.
  6. Garnish with parsley and cracked black pepper. Serve hot.
