Description
This creamy ramen recipe is an easy, budget-friendly meal that’s perfect for cozy nights. Featuring a rich, silky broth infused with garlic and ginger, it’s a fast comfort food favorite using simple pantry ingredients. A delicious upgrade to instant noodles, ideal for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
1 pack instant ramen noodles
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger, grated
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/2 cup milk or heavy cream
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 soft-boiled egg (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped scallions
1 sheet nori (optional)
1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, heat a splash of oil over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
2. Pour in the broth and bring it to a simmer. Add soy sauce and stir.
3. Lower the heat and slowly whisk in milk or cream. Simmer gently for 2-3 minutes without boiling.
4. Add ramen noodles and cook according to package directions, usually about 3 minutes.
5. Serve in a large bowl. Top with halved soft-boiled egg, scallions, nori, and sesame seeds.
Notes
For deeper flavor, add a splash of miso paste or a dash of chili oil to the broth.
If using fresh ramen, reduce the cooking time by 1-2 minutes.
Always simmer the cream gently—boiling may cause it to split.
