Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

12 ounces penne pasta

8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup sliced mushrooms

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup beef broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook penne pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

3. Add diced onion and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for 5-6 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 more seconds.

4. Reduce heat to low. Add beef broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine.

5. Add cubed Velveeta cheese. Stir constantly until melted and the sauce is smooth.

6. Return cooked penne to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly with sauce.

7. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir to blend.

8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Let the Velveeta melt gently over low heat to avoid breaking the sauce.
