Description

These Crispy Cottage Cheese Treats are a golden, crunchy delight that wraps creamy cottage cheese in a flavorful, crisp coating. Perfect for snacking, entertaining, or simply indulging in a savory bite, they’re quick to prepare and even quicker to disappear.


Ingredients

1 1/2 cups cottage cheese (preferably full-fat)

1 large egg

1/4 cup all-purpose flour (plus more as needed)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)

1 egg, beaten (for coating)

Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cottage cheese, egg, 1/4 cup flour, Parmesan, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Form mixture into small cubes or rectangular shapes.
  3. Chill shapes in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up.
  4. Set up breading station: one bowl with flour, one with beaten egg, one with breadcrumbs.
  5. Dredge each cube in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumbs for extra crunch.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry cubes 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
  7. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with parsley if using.
