This easy and delicious air fryer cod recipe features tender, flaky cod fillets with a crispy golden breadcrumb coating. Ingredients
4 cod fillets
1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil or cooking spray
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
1. In a shallow bowl, mix the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
2. Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels and lightly coat them with olive oil.
3. Press each fillet into the breadcrumb mixture until fully coated on all sides.
4. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
5. Arrange cod in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
6. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and flaky.
7. Remove, garnish with parsley, and serve hot with lemon wedges.
Notes
For an extra crunchy crust, use panko breadcrumbs and press them in firmly.
Always pat cod fillets dry to help the coating stick better and stay crisp.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer for best texture—avoid the microwave.
