Description

This Easy Frito Pie recipe is a fast, flavorful Tex-Mex classic made with crunchy corn chips, hearty ground beef chili, and melty cheddar cheese. Perfect for quick dinners, game days, or family gatherings, this comfort food favorite is customizable, budget-friendly, and loved by all.


Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 can (15 oz) black beans or pinto beans, drained

4 cups Fritos corn chips

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup sour cream

¼ cup chopped green onions


Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.

2. Add diced onions and minced garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

3. Stir in tomato sauce, beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.

4. In serving bowls, layer Fritos at the bottom. Spoon the hot chili mixture over the chips.

5. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.

6. Top each serving with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of green onions.
