Description

This Easy Hot Maple Brown Butter Latte is a cozy, cafe-style drink you can make at home. With nutty browned butter, rich maple syrup, and frothy milk, it’s a comforting latte perfect for chilly mornings. Make it dairy-free or iced—this recipe is easy, indulgent, and customizable. Great for fall and winter coffee lovers!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 cup milk (whole or dairy-free)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 shot espresso or 1⁄4 cup strong coffee

pinch ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring until it foams and turns golden brown with a nutty aroma (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat to avoid burning.

2. Add maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract to the browned butter. Return to medium heat and whisk until the mixture is warm and well combined (do not boil).

3. Froth the warm milk mixture using a milk frother or whisk vigorously until lightly foamy.

4. Brew a shot of espresso or prepare 1⁄4 cup of strong coffee. Pour into a mug, filling it halfway.

5. Slowly pour the frothed maple brown butter milk over the coffee. Spoon the foam on top.

6. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy warm.

Notes

Brown the butter just until golden and fragrant to avoid bitterness.

For best froth, use whole milk or barista-style oat milk.

Adjust maple syrup to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet latte.
