How To Make the Easy Italian Sliders

Step 1: Prep the Rolls

Slice the entire sheet of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally using a serrated bread knife. Place the bottom half into your greased baking dish.

Step 2: Layer the Meats

Start layering with ham, then salami, and finally the pepperoni. Overlap them slightly for full coverage and even flavor.

Step 3: Add the Cheese

Place slices of provolone or mozzarella over the meat layer. Make sure the cheese is spread edge-to-edge for a full cheesy bite.

Step 4: Cap and Butter

Add the top half of the rolls. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and grated parmesan. Brush generously over the tops of the rolls.

Step 5: Bake

Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5 minutes until tops are golden and slightly crispy.

Step 6: Slice and Serve

Let them rest a few minutes after baking. Use a sharp knife to cut between the rolls and serve warm.

Serving and Storing Italian Sliders

These sliders are best served warm, straight from the oven with the cheese still melty and the tops golden and crisp. Serve them with a side of marinara for dipping, a fresh salad, or some baked potato wedges.

If you have leftovers, wrap them tightly in foil or store in an airtight container. They can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop them in the oven at 300°F for about 10 minutes or until heated through. Avoid microwaving, as it can make the bread soggy.

For make-ahead convenience, assemble the sliders the night before and refrigerate. Just hold off on the butter topping until you’re ready to bake.

Place the assembled sliders on a wire rack inside your baking dish if you’re worried about sogginess. You can also toast the bottom halves of the rolls for a couple of minutes before layering.
