Description

This Effortless Easy Chocolate Pie is a silky, rich, and indulgent dessert that’s as simple as it is elegant. With minimal ingredients and no baking required for the filling, it’s perfect for a last-minute dinner party treat or a weeknight reward. The smooth chocolate ganache sits perfectly in a buttery crust, topped with a dollop of whipped cream for that classic finish.

Ingredients

1 prepared pie crust (store-bought or homemade, baked and cooled)

1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (or chopped chocolate)

1 ¼ cups heavy cream

¼ cup whole milk

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Optional: whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Ensure your pie crust is baked and completely cooled.
  2. Heat the cream mixture: In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and salt. Heat on medium until it starts to simmer. Do not boil.
  3. Add the chocolate: Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and let sit for a minute. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Incorporate vanilla: Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Fill the crust: Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust. Smooth the top.
  6. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight until fully set.
  7. Garnish and serve: Top with whipped cream or desired toppings before serving.
