Ingredients
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into cubes
3 cloves garlic, minced
4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
8 oz pasta shells
1 cup heavy cream
1 ½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika (optional)
1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Season the steak cubes with salt, pepper, and paprika.
2. Heat 2 tbsp butter in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Sear the steak cubes in batches, 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
5. Boil pasta shells in salted water until al dente, then drain.
6. In a saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tbsp butter and add heavy cream.
7. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then whisk in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
8. Stir drained pasta into the sauce and coat well.
9. Serve cheesy shells with garlic butter steak bites on top.
10. Garnish with chopped parsley and a dash of paprika if desired.
Notes
Let the steak rest after searing to retain its juices.
Use freshly grated cheese for a smoother sauce.
Add a splash of milk when reheating to keep the sauce creamy.
