Ingredients
9 oz cheese tortellini
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
2 cups fresh spinach
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil (for browning)
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the ground beef and Italian sausage until browned and cooked through. Break apart with a wooden spoon. Drain excess fat.
2. Push the meat to one side. Add butter and garlic, letting it sizzle for 30 seconds until fragrant. Mix together.
3. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add cheese tortellini directly to the skillet. Stir gently and simmer on low heat until tortellini is tender.
5. Stir in fresh spinach until just wilted.
6. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top. Cover and let it melt for 2–3 minutes.
7. Serve hot and garnish with extra Parmesan or fresh parsley.
Notes
For a thinner sauce, add a splash of chicken broth when adding the cream.
To boost flavor, brown the sausage until slightly crispy before combining with beef.
Reheat leftovers with a splash of cream to maintain creamy texture.
