This Garlic Cheese Bread is loaded with flavor from fresh garlic, melty mozzarella, and a touch of Parmesan, all baked on a crusty loaf of bread. Perfect for serving alongside pasta, soups, or as a crowd-pleasing snack.
Ingredients
1 loaf of French bread or sourdough
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
3 cloves garlic, minced or grated
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Optional: 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment or foil.
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place cut-side up on the prepared sheet.
- In a bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic (and red pepper flakes if using).
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over each half of the bread.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly golden.
- Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes for a more browned top.
- Remove from oven, garnish with fresh parsley, slice, and serve warm.
