Description

A quick, flavorful weeknight stir fry made with juicy chicken, crisp broccoli, and a garlic-infused sauce—all served over tender white rice. Perfect for busy evenings, meal prep, or a healthier takeout-style meal at home.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, thinly sliced

3 cups broccoli florets

3 cups cooked white rice

4 garlic cloves, minced

3 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tsp sesame oil

1 tbsp cornstarch

1/4 cup water

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, chopped

2 tbsp cooking oil (canola or vegetable)

Instructions

  1. Slice chicken, chop broccoli into florets, mince garlic, and chop green onions.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water.
  3. Cook rice according to package instructions, or use pre-cooked rice.
  4. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear chicken until browned and cooked through (5-7 minutes). Set aside.
  5. Add more oil to skillet if needed. Stir-fry broccoli for 2-3 minutes until bright green. Add a splash of water and cover briefly to steam if needed.
  6. Push broccoli to the side, add garlic to the center and stir until fragrant.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet. Pour in sauce and stir to coat. Cook until thickened.
  8. Garnish with green onions and red pepper flakes. Serve hot over rice.
