Description

Grandma’s Goulash is a heartwarming American classic combining savory ground beef, tender macaroni, and a rich tomato-based sauce. It’s the perfect one-pot dinner for cozy evenings and leftovers that taste even better the next day.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 1/2 cups elbow macaroni

1 medium onion, chopped

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 red bell pepper, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and diced bell peppers to the beef. Sauté for 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 more minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Add Worcestershire sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain.
  6. Stir cooked pasta into the meat sauce. Simmer together for another 5-10 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley if desired.
  8. Serve warm.
