Description

A hearty and comforting dinner featuring layers of thinly sliced potatoes, seasoned ground beef, vegetables, and melted cheese. This rustic casserole is perfect for family meals, meal prep, or cozy gatherings.


Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced

1 medium onion, chopped

1 cup mixed vegetables (corn, peas, green beans)

1 cup shredded cheese

1 can (10 oz) tomato sauce or soup

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp paprika


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a casserole dish.
  2. Brown ground beef with chopped onions in a skillet; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika; simmer briefly.
  4. Layer half the sliced potatoes in the dish, then half the beef mixture, followed by half the vegetables. Repeat layers.
  5. Top with shredded cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is golden.
