Description

This Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing is a creamy, tangy, and easy-to-make dressing perfect for salads, wings, and dipping. Made with real blue cheese, mayo, and sour cream, it’s a bold and flavorful addition to any meal. This recipe is the best blue cheese dressing you’ll ever make from scratch!

Ingredients

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup sour cream

2 tablespoons buttermilk (or milk + lemon)

½ cup blue cheese crumbles

1 small garlic clove, grated

1 tablespoon lemon juice or white vinegar

⅛ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

⅛ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk until smooth.

2. Add in the blue cheese crumbles, grated garlic, and lemon juice or vinegar. Stir to combine.

3. Season with salt and pepper. Adjust to taste and consistency.

4. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

5. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Notes

For a smoother dressing, blend half the blue cheese before mixing.

Use Greek yogurt in place of sour cream for a lighter version.

Flavor deepens after resting—prepare ahead for the best results.
