Description
This Homemade Guacamole recipe is a quick, creamy, and zesty dip made with ripe avocados, fresh lime juice, garlic, and jalapeño. Perfect for parties, tacos, or toast, it’s a naturally gluten-free, vegan, and keto-friendly appetizer that’s packed with healthy fats and bold flavor.
Ingredients
3 ripe avocados
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
1 small jalapeño, finely chopped (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (more to taste)
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions
1. Slice avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
2. Mash the avocado to your preferred consistency using a fork or potato masher.
3. Add chopped red onion, cilantro, jalapeño, and garlic to the mashed avocado. Stir well.
4. Squeeze in lime juice and mix to combine, adjusting to your taste preference.
5. Season with salt. Taste and adjust salt and lime juice as needed.
6. Let it sit for 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld, then serve fresh with chips or as a topping.
Notes
Use Hass avocados for the creamiest, most flavorful guacamole.
For chunkier guac, mash lightly with a fork instead of using a masher.
Always taste before serving; lime and salt balance the flavors beautifully.
