Ingredients
1 sheet refrigerated pizza dough
20–24 cubes mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup melted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
1 cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions
1. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into 20–24 equal squares.
2. Place one cube of mozzarella in the center of each dough square. Wrap and pinch the dough to form a sealed ball.
3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and shape the dough balls into a Christmas tree (start with 1 at the top, then 2, 3, etc.).
4. In a bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush generously over the dough balls.
5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and puffed.
6. Remove from oven, sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley, and serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
Let the dough come to room temperature for easier shaping and sealing.
Don’t overfill the dough balls with cheese or they might leak while baking.
You can prepare the shaped tree ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake.
