Description

This creamy Jarlsberg Cheese Dip recipe is the ultimate party appetizer! Made with freshly grated Jarlsberg, tangy mayo, and finely chopped onions, it’s the perfect cheesy dip served hot or cold. Great for game days, gatherings, or a quick snack. Best cheesy dip recipe with Jarlsberg.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups Jarlsberg cheese, freshly grated

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup finely diced red onion

1 tablespoon chopped chives or green onions (optional)

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

1. Grate the Jarlsberg cheese using a box grater or food processor.

2. Dice the red onion finely for even flavor distribution.

3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine grated Jarlsberg, mayonnaise, red onion, and black pepper. Mix gently.

4. Chill for at least 1 hour if serving cold, covered in plastic wrap or stored in an airtight container.

5. To serve warm, place the dip in a baking dish and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.

6. Garnish with chopped chives or green onions before serving.

Notes

Freshly grated Jarlsberg melts better and blends smoother than pre-shredded cheese.

For best flavor, let the dip chill for at least an hour before serving.

If reheating, do it gently to avoid oil separation.
