Description

This Lemon Garlic Chicken with Creamy Bowtie Pasta recipe blends zesty lemon, savory garlic, and a rich creamy sauce over bowtie pasta for a delicious and comforting dinner. A quick and flavorful chicken pasta recipe perfect for busy weeknights, packed with protein and family-friendly flavors.

Ingredients

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 lemon, juiced and zested

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Season chicken with lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and olive oil. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked. Set aside.

3. In a large pot, cook the bowtie pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.

5. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let it simmer until slightly thickened. Add pasta water to adjust consistency as needed.

6. Return cooked chicken to the pan and add in the drained pasta. Toss to coat evenly.

7. Garnish with chopped parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melting and flavor.

Don’t overcook the garlic – it should be golden, not browned.

Save some pasta water to adjust the sauce’s consistency at the end.
