Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup melted butter
For the Maple Glaze:
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 tbsp heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in the pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
- For the glaze, heat powdered sugar, maple syrup, and cream in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth.
- Let glaze cool slightly, then pour over cooled bars.
- Allow glaze to set before slicing into squares or bars.
