Ingredients
1 (25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cook the meat (if using) in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess grease and stir in the marinara sauce. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
- Prepare the cheese mixture by combining the softened cream cheese, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Stir until smooth.
- Assemble the casserole by spreading a small amount of the meat sauce on the bottom of the baking dish. Layer half of the frozen ravioli, followed by half of the cheese mixture and half of the shredded mozzarella. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining meat sauce on top.
- Bake covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil, sprinkle with grated Parmesan, and bake uncovered for an additional 10-15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and enjoy!
