Ingredients
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Season the chicken breasts with Cajun seasoning and drizzle with olive oil.
2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sear chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and let rest.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and bell peppers for 2–3 minutes until softened.
4. Add chicken broth and heavy cream to the skillet, scraping up any browned bits. Bring to a gentle simmer.
5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and honey or brown sugar.
6. Add uncooked pasta and cover. Cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally until pasta is tender and sauce is thickened.
7. Slice the rested chicken into strips and return to the skillet. Toss to coat with sauce.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and more Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Let the chicken rest before slicing to retain its juiciness.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for better melting and richer flavor.
Stir the pasta occasionally while cooking to avoid sticking and ensure even cooking.
