Description

This One-Pot Creamy Cajun Chicken Linguine with Garlic Mozzarella Sauce is a bold and comforting weeknight meal made with tender chicken, creamy garlic cheese sauce, and a kick of Cajun spice. A one-skillet pasta dinner ready in just 30 minutes, packed with Southern flavor and easy cleanup. Perfect for busy families craving cheesy pasta dishes with heat!

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast

8 oz linguine pasta

1 ½ tbsp Cajun seasoning

4 cloves minced garlic

1 ½ cups heavy cream

2 cups chicken broth

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

2 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.

2. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

3. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and slice.

4. Add remaining 1 tbsp butter to the pan, then add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.

5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, scraping browned bits from bottom.

6. Add uncooked linguine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

7. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan (if using) until smooth and creamy.

8. Return sliced chicken to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes.

9. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Let the sauce thicken naturally by simmering; avoid high heat after adding cream.

Freshly shredded mozzarella melts smoother than pre-packaged.

To reduce spice, use only 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning or choose a mild blend.
