Description
This One-Pot Spicy Chicken Linguine in Creamy Sauce is a rich and flavorful pasta recipe made with tender seared chicken, linguine noodles, Cajun seasoning, and a creamy Parmesan sauce. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners, this one-pot meal delivers bold spice and satisfying comfort in every bite.
Ingredients
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
8 oz linguine pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Season chicken strips with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant (about 1 minute).
4. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add linguine and stir occasionally. Cook until pasta is nearly al dente and most of the broth is absorbed.
5. Reduce heat. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Let it cook until thick and creamy.
6. Return chicken to the skillet. Let simmer with the pasta for 2–3 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
For extra heat, increase crushed red pepper to 1 teaspoon.
Stir pasta often while cooking in broth to avoid sticking.
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best melting and flavor.
