This Orange Ground Chicken is a tangy, savory, and slightly sweet dish that brings the flavors of takeout to your kitchen in a faster, healthier way. Perfect over rice or wrapped in lettuce, it makes a quick weeknight dinner or a reliable meal prep favorite.

Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1/2 cup orange juice (fresh or 100% juice)

2 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced

2 tablespoons honey

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water (for slurry)

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, 5-7 minutes. Drain if needed.
  2. Stir in minced garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together orange juice, soy sauce, honey, and rice vinegar. Pour into skillet and bring to a simmer.
  4. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add slurry to skillet, stirring until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
