Description
Make these Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwiches for the ultimate comfort food mash-up! Perfectly crisp bread, melty mozzarella, and pepperoni slices create a quick, gooey, and satisfying meal. Ideal for lunch, dinner, or a quick snack.
Ingredients
4 slices sourdough or white bread
4 tablespoons butter or garlic butter (softened)
1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
12 slices pepperoni
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried oregano
Instructions
1. Gather all your ingredients and tools. Let the butter soften and grate cheese if needed.
2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Flip and spread pizza sauce on the other side.
3. On two slices (sauce side up), layer mozzarella, pepperoni, and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Top with remaining slices, sauce side in.
4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place sandwiches butter-side down. Press with spatula.
5. Cook for 3–4 minutes until golden. Flip, press again, and cook until the cheese is melted.
6. Let rest 1 minute. Slice diagonally and serve hot.
Notes
Use thick-cut bread to keep the sandwich intact and soak up buttery crispness.
Don’t rush the grill—medium heat ensures a golden crust and melty center.
Want extra flavor? Mix garlic powder into your butter for a garlic bread vibe.
