Ingredients
For the Reuben Balls:
Corned beef, chopped
Sauerkraut, drained and chopped
Swiss cheese, shredded
Cream cheese
Rye breadcrumbs
Egg
Flour
Oil for frying
For the Spicy Thousand Island Sauce:
Mayonnaise
Ketchup
Dijon mustard
Hot sauce
Sweet pickle relish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and cream cheese. Mix until well combined. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a tray. Freeze for 15 minutes.
- Set up dredging bowls with flour, beaten egg, and rye breadcrumbs. Coat each ball in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry balls in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden. Drain on paper towels.
- Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Chill until serving.
