Description

Sausage and Cream Cheese Stuffed Crescent Rolls are the ultimate savory breakfast or brunch comfort food. Made with flaky crescent dough, creamy cheese, and seasoned sausage, these rolls are quick to prepare, freezer-friendly, and always a crowd-pleaser. Perfect for meal prepping or feeding a group, these stuffed rolls are warm, hearty, and incredibly satisfying.

Ingredients

1 pound breakfast sausage

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (optional for egg wash) or 2 tablespoons melted butter

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or use a nonstick sheet.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage, breaking it apart as it cooks. Cook until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.

3. Transfer the hot sausage to a mixing bowl and stir in the cream cheese until well combined. Add shredded cheese and mix again.

4. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Lay flat with the wide end facing you.

5. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll tightly toward the point.

6. Optional: Brush with egg wash or melted butter for a golden, glossy top.

7. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.

8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

For a spicier twist, use hot breakfast sausage or add red pepper flakes to the filling.

Crescent rolls bake best on the middle rack of the oven—avoid over-browning by checking at 12 minutes.

Double the batch and freeze uncooked rolls to bake fresh on busy mornings.
