Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (lean preferred)
8 oz lo mein noodles or spaghetti (cooked and drained)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup shredded cabbage (or coleslaw mix)
3 green onions, chopped (plus more for garnish)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp sriracha or chili garlic sauce (adjust to heat preference)
1 tsp sugar
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 5–7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Push beef to one side. Add onion, garlic, carrots, and cabbage to the other. Sauté for 3–4 minutes.
- Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, and sugar. Combine everything well.
- Add cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss to coat and heat through, about 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
