Ingredients
1 pound ground beef or turkey
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1 large egg
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
12 ounces spaghetti pasta
3 cups marinara sauce
8 slices mozzarella cheese
16 black olive slices
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
2. Shape mixture into 1.5-inch balls and place on a greased baking sheet.
3. Bake meatballs at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
4. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente, then drain.
5. Warm marinara sauce in a skillet and mix with the drained spaghetti.
6. Top each meatball with a mozzarella slice and return to oven for 2–3 minutes until cheese melts into ghost shapes.
7. Press two olive slices on each meatball as “eyes” while cheese is still soft but slightly cooled.
8. Serve spooky meatballs over a bed of spaghetti and enjoy warm.
Notes
For a stronger ghost effect, trim cheese into ragged oval shapes before melting.
Use provolone or Monterey Jack if mozzarella isn’t available.
Let cheese cool slightly before adding olive eyes so they stick better.
