Description

These Strawberry Cheesecake Donuts combine the joy of a fluffy, golden donut with the decadence of creamy cheesecake and sweet strawberry glaze. Each one is topped with a nostalgic crumble, making it the perfect special treat for parties or indulgent mornings.

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast

1 cup whole milk, warm

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1/2 tsp salt

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar (divided)

1 tsp vanilla extract (divided)

1/3 cup strawberry puree

Crushed graham crackers or streusel topping

Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add eggs, melted butter, and salt. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 8 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours.
  4. Roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thick and cut into rounds. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry donuts for 1–2 minutes per side until golden. Drain and cool slightly.
  6. Beat cream cheese with 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/2 tsp vanilla until fluffy.
  7. Fill each donut with the cheesecake mixture using a piping bag.
  8. Mix remaining powdered sugar, strawberry puree, and vanilla to make glaze.
  9. Dip donuts into glaze and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers.
  10. Let glaze set for 10 minutes before serving.
