Description

Strawberry Sweet Tea is the ultimate Southern summer beverage. Made with black tea, fresh strawberries, and just the right amount of sweetness, this fruity iced tea is a refreshing drink perfect for parties, picnics, or porch-sipping. Learn how to make the best strawberry sweet tea with our easy recipe, complete with tips and storage advice.

Ingredients

2 cups fresh strawberries

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water (for syrup)

4 cups water (for tea)

4 to 6 black tea bags

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

ice, for serving

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine strawberries, sugar, and 1 cup water. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, gently mashing berries with a spoon as they cook.

Notes

For a naturally sweetened version, substitute sugar with honey or maple syrup to taste.

Adjust tea strength by steeping longer or adding more tea bags for a bolder flavor.

For a lemonade twist, replace half the water with lemon juice and reduce sugar slightly.
