Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs
1 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons honey (for glaze)
3 tablespoons melted butter (for glaze)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and salt.
3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and slightly frothy.
4. Combine wet and dry ingredients. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
5. Fold in chopped pecans evenly.
6. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. While the bread is still warm, drizzle it with melted butter and honey glaze.
9. Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Don’t overmix the batter—stir until just combined to maintain a tender crumb.
For deeper flavor, lightly toast pecans before adding to the batter.
Use parchment paper if you want easy lift-and-slice cleanup from the pan.
