Description
This Sweet and Spicy Garlic Steak Pasta recipe is a flavor-packed dish combining tender seared steak, garlicky honey soy glaze, and spicy chili flakes tossed with pasta. Perfect for quick dinners, it’s rich, bold, and ready in 30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 pound ribeye or sirloin steak
8 ounces linguine or spaghetti
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. Let it rest at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
2. Boil linguine in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain.
3. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3–4 minutes per side. Let rest.
4. Reduce heat and add butter. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
5. Add soy sauce and honey. Simmer until slightly thickened.
6. Toss pasta with the sauce in the skillet. Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
7. Thinly slice the steak against the grain.
8. Plate pasta, top with steak slices, and garnish with parsley and extra red pepper flakes.
Notes
Always slice the steak against the grain for tenderness.
Reserve pasta water to help emulsify and loosen the sauce.
Let the steak rest before slicing to retain its juices.
