Description
This hearty pasta dish features tender honey garlic chicken served over creamy Parmesan rotini. It’s a weeknight dinner winner—rich, flavorful, and satisfying with a hint of sweetness and loads of cheesy comfort.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized chunks
Salt and black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons butter (divided)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons soy sauce
8 oz rotini pasta
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Season and Sear Chicken: Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until golden and cooked through, about 5–6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Honey Garlic Sauce: In the same pan, reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic; cook until fragrant. Stir in honey and soy sauce. Return chicken to skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes until coated and glossy.
- Cook Pasta: Meanwhile, cook rotini in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.
- Make Parmesan Cream Sauce: In another pan, warm heavy cream over medium-low heat. Stir in Parmesan gradually, whisking until smooth. If too thick, add some reserved pasta water.
- Combine and Serve: Toss cooked rotini with Parmesan sauce. Plate the pasta and top with honey garlic chicken. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
